Our logo
One flower, four domains, a child at the centre
The SOS Educ logo is a four-petal flower. Each petal stands for one of the domains of child development set out in Québec's educational program, Accueillir la petite enfance. Educators observe and support them every day.
At the heart of the flower, a smiling face: the child. Everything is built around them.
- Social and emotional.
- A sense of security, self-confidence, the expression of emotions and life with others: playing, sharing, cooperating and finding one's place in the group.
- Cognitive.
- Curiosity, memory, reasoning and problem solving.
- Physical and motor.
- Moving, handling objects, discovering one's body and taking care of it.
- Language.
- Understanding, expressing oneself and discovering reading and writing.
The colours of the four domains are also SOS Educ's colours: you'll find them everywhere, from the website to the app.
Our mission is simple: educators spending less time on paperwork and more time with the children.
About
Less paperwork, more time for the children
We created SOS Educ because, in childcare settings, the essential information about each child — allergies, emergency contacts, authorized pickups, the contract with the parents — is still scattered across a binder, loose sheets of paper and text messages. When you need it, you have to dig for it. And in the meantime, you're not with the children.
So we built a management platform designed in Québec for childcare settings: home daycares, daycares, CPEs, private care and more. Each child's record lives in one place, up to date, right on your phone.
Along the way, we chose to build SOS Educ with educators rather than for them. Every feature shipped answers a need heard in the field, and what isn't ready yet is labelled as such.
Families' information stays theirs: we host it only to run the platform, never for our own purposes.

Who's behind SOS Educ
People, not a customer service desk
A small team that starts from real days in childcare: a developer who writes the code, an educator who says what matters.

Samuel Anctil-Laroche
Founder and developer
A programmer-analyst, I build SOS Educ from what educators live in the field: every feature shipped answers a need we heard, and what isn't ready yet is labelled as such. A question, an idea? Write to me.

Audrey Hébert
Early childhood educator
Audrey brings the reality of the field: what takes time, what's missing, what has to stay simple. Her perspective keeps SOS Educ built for days spent with children, not for an office.
We're listening
A help center inside the app
A question, a problem, an idea? Write to us right from SOS Educ: your conversations stay in one place.
- Help requests
- Describe the problem, add the steps to reproduce it and attachments, then follow our replies. With the Per unit plan, your help requests are tagged "Priority help request" and handled first.
- Suggestions and votes
- Suggest a feature, vote for others' ideas and follow their status. The most requested ones guide what we build next.
- Everything in one place
- Each help request and each suggestion has its own thread, with our team's replies and the files exchanged.
